Delete your account

This page is for the SoberChamp app (developer: [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]).

Delete in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect straight away.

1. Open SoberChamp and go to Me.
2. Open Settings, then Account.
3. Tap Delete account. You can export a copy of your data first on the same screen.
4. Tick the box to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

To erase your stored data but keep using the app, go to Me, Your data, Delete all my data.

Ask on the web

No longer have the app? Send a request here. We will write to the address you give to confirm that the account is yours before anything is deleted, and complete the deletion within 30 days of that confirmation. Guest accounts have no email address, so they can only be deleted in the app. Removing the app from your phone also removes everything a guest account stored on the device.

You can also email privacy@soberchamp.com from the address of your account.

What is deleted

• Your account, sign in methods, sessions, devices and preferences.
• Your private vault: trackers and dates, slips, pledges, reviews, check ins, mood, journal, reasons, triggers, emergency contacts, SOS sessions, chats with Sori and everything Sori remembers.
• The memory search index and any media stored for your account.
• Your community profile, posts, comments, reactions, group memberships, blocks and the reports you made. Your handle is freed.
• Your membership record with us.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backups are erased within 30 days.
• A deletion record that holds only a one way hash, so we can show a deletion took place. It cannot be turned back into your data.
• Purchase records held by Apple or Google stay with them under their policies.
• The web request itself (your email address and note) is removed once handled, and in any case after 90 days.
